Connie and Jim Kearins are both in recovery, and have a strong passion to help others with addiction issues. They believe a nourishing environment, an uplifting family of choice, a healthy/active lifestyle, a spiritual connection, and appropriate counseling were the keys to their sobriety success. They both want to use their experiences to help others create a positive life for themselves after their addiction. In addition to owning and managing Elevated Sober Living, they work together developing and investing in real estate.
Amy Campi has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She been in the field of mental health and addiction in various roles, for over 10 years. Initially inspired by a former professor, she was drawn to working with offenders in the criminal justice system. Her aspirations quickly changed to being part of a long term solution once she realized that the criminal justice system does not treat those with mental illness and substance use disorders. She has worked with adolescents, couples, individuals and groups. She has facilitated groups at several intensive outpatient programs in the Dallas area. She received her LCDC in 2014 and is completing her LPC internship hours under the supervision of Shannon Purtell, LPC-S. She anticipates full licensure by February 2018.
